The three-day convention resulted in the adoption of the party’s constitution and bylaws and the election of party officials. Those elected are Theodore Momoh, Sr. as National Chairman, David Kiamu, Secretary General and Budu Wilson, Vice Chairman for Mobilization, Research and Membership. Other elected officials include Ike Moore as the National Youth League Chairman and Memuna Dennis, National Women league Chair. Rev Sanjee Stepter was voted as the Religious Advisor.
The election commission was headed by former speaker of the Liberian house of Representative in the Charles Taylor’s administration, Hon. Nyudueh Morkonmana.
The All Liberian Party (ALP) is one of the new parties that have joined the tussle for political power come 2017. The party was certified by the National Elections Commission on August 7, 2015.
The founder of the party, Mr. Benoni Urey is expected to fly the party’s flag in the race for the Executive Mansion in the 2017 elections.
