The Assistant Minister said unlike before when the soldier or each recruit received US$90, the lowest salary is now US$110. This he believes has increased the morale of the soldiers.
According to Minster Dahn, some army personnel are even receiving more than US$500, noting that everyone that enters the army has a different kind of training that helps mold them into career persons.
However, AFL personnel who spoke anonymously to this paper said things are not as good as they appear. He revealed that some of his colleagues have left the army due to the low income status.
