A winner of the Miss Africa 2005 crown, Georgie has worked at all the world’s fashion capitals, from Paris to New York. The svelte and lanky lass has modeled for renowned labels including Bottega, Oscar de la Renta, Issey Miyake, Marc Jacobs, Venetta, Jaeger, Louis Vuitton, among many others.
Georgie tells Capitol Times she is particularly in Liberia as guest of philanthropist MacDella Cooper to scout for two of Liberia’s finest models, a male and a female.
The fashionista is expected to meet with a cross section of young people who have interest in fashion, beauty and design.
Slated to be held Friday, August 4, 2016 by 2:00 pm at the Monrovia Young Men Christian Association’s headquarter on Crown Hill Broad, Georgie’s fashion talent scout and pep talk is expected to attract a good number of young models, fashion designers and beauty pageant contestants across the country.
Besides flaunting her exotic beauty on catwalks in Europe and the United States, Georgie has also featured regularly on the covers of the world’s top fashion magazines, including Elle, Russian Vogue, Italian Glamour, New York Times Style Mag, Interview, Teen Vogue, Pop, A4 Arise, Let Them Eat Cake and Essence.
Who knows? The next Georgie Baddiel might just come from Liberia!
