He said members of the National Legislature will not induce themselves by sitting under an indicted Speaker who has been charged with bribery and waiting Court trial at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia.
The UP Youth Chairman also noted that his party will do everything possible to ensure that Speaker Tyler’s recusal takes effect and warned those from the party serving in the legislature to immediately disengage from supporting him.
He said Speaker Tyler along with those accused of the Sable Mining bribery case will face the full weight of the law, and anyone who supports such persons is a collaborator and he or she will also be treated like a criminal.
Mr. Dulley said the youth congress supports the action of the President and the party decision not to recognize the indicted Speaker, noting: “the Speaker’s attitude is inimical to the principle and tenet of democracy and it is politically detrimental to society therefore he should step aside”.
