Those appointed to the committee are: Mr. Kennedy Domah- Chair; Kelvin Demey- Co-chairman; Naomi Tappia, Melvin Korboi, Mark Dahn, Kpayelle Johnson, Cecelia Clarke, Joseph Solo, Jr. and Presley Boozahn as members.
The Annual Congress of the PUL is slated for November 11- 13, 2016 in Ganta, Nimba County.
It is the highest decision maker of the Press Union of Liberia which meets at a selected location in Liberia.
The Congress is expected to bring together at least 500 journalists from across the country.
The Press Union of Liberia has been working for the protection of journalists and free expression in Liberia since 1964 and has transformed itself into the country's foremost pro-democracy organization.
Meanwhile, this year's Press Union of Liberia's Congress Committee is made of Mr. James Kiazolu, Chairman; Raymond Zarby, Patrick Flomo, and Estelle Liberty. The PUL Congress Committee is mandated by the body's constitution to coordinate the annual gathering of journalists in Liberia. The Press Union of Liberia is in the spirit of building a strong journalism community, urging all its members and journalists to thoroughly read the PUL Constitution and suggest possible amendments for Congress consideration.
All constitutional amendment suggestions are to be addressed to the Chairman of the Congress Committee in care of the PUL Secretariat.
Deadline for submission of suggestions is Wednesday, 9 November 2016.
Moreover, the PUL Leadership has appointed its 2016 Elections Committee led by Mr. Aaron Kollie. Others are: Journalists Jallahwah A. Topoe, Tetee Kanneh, Siatta Scott Johnson and James Dorbor Soah.
