CharlesangelsWith the 2017 polls just about 350 days away, the opposition Liberty Party (LP) is sparing no effort to ensure that Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine becomes the next President of Liberia. Over the weekend, the LP’s auxiliary group Charlie’s Angels started the ball rolling when it installed its corps of leaders to steer the ship of affairs.

Charlie’s Angels, predominantly comprising women of diverse background, held its installation at a “Recommitment and Installation” dinner over the weekend with senior members of the party including LP’s Political leader Cllr. Brumskine in attendance.
Those installed include Markind Randall Boayue, Chairlady; Presilla Abraham Cooper, Vice Chairlady; Helena Smith Massaquoi, Treasurer; Rosetta Briggs Cholopray, Secretary; Normalyne Bindu Barclay-Mayango, Chairlady for Mobilization; Laurine A. Gbodi, Vice Chairlady for Mobilization; Florence Caine, Chaplain, among others.
Addressing the gathering as guest speaker, Liberty Party stalwart Abraham Darius Dillon said just Jesus Christ instructed his disciples to go out and win many souls, he also encouraged the auxiliary group to go to every part of Liberia to create more ‘angels’.
“I know that all the Angels we have seen from the Bible are all men but Charlie’s Angels is comprised of women. Go out and make male angels,” he added.
He assured the group that the Political leader of the party fully supports them in everything they would do until the day of inauguration.
“It is time for us (LP) to work. I have always said that Liberty Party is going into these elections as an “underdog”. We are the underdogs. And so, we have a lot of work to do. Don’t be ashamed of your party but try to make one person a partisan almost every day. Each one brings one,” Dillon pointed out.
For her part, the Chairlady of the group, Markind Randall Boayue, said her organization started with just seven members in 2005 but has grown to over 30 members and counting up to date.
She encouraged members of the group to get ready to work hard to ensure that Cllr. Brumskine wins the 2017 Presidential election.
