Presenting the money to the school administration over the weekend, Forkpa said the gesture was intended to assist the school change the zinc on the roof of its building.
The deputy NPA boss said he attended the school, but left when he was in the eighth grade.
According to him, he feels sad to see the school’s roof in a very dilapidated condition after many years.
Forkpah pledged his continuous support to the institution, but clarified that his contribution is not politically motivated.
Forkpah said he feels obligated to an institution like the Phebe Community Lutheran High School that laid his educational foundation.
Receiving the money, Principal John Kolleh commended Mr. Forkpah for the donation and called on others to emulate his example.
Mr. Kolleh promised to immediately commence the re-roofing of the school
building as funding has been made available.
