The coalition includes Liberia Marketing Association (LMA), Progressive Alliance Movement, Devine Christian Action Group, Bomi County Citizens, Liberia Credit Union, United Friends for Peace and Democracy, Liberia National Tailor Union, Liberia Business Association (LIBA), University of Liberia Student Union (ULSU), Queen of Jones, Liberia Labor Congress, Sinoe University Association, Village Saving and Loan Association, Federation of Liberian Youth and Students, among others.
Speaking at an induction ceremony held last Thursday at the Liberia Business Association (LIBA) head office in Paynesville, William Flomo, the newly inducted chairman of the coalition indicated that his organization is capable of producing the next president, “because we have the numbers”, noting further, his group will ensure that the next president comes from GRANDCOALIO “because our membership strength has hit one million and that is capable of producing the next president of Liberia”.
Also speaking, Lusu Sloh, President Liberia Marketing Association (LMA) admonished the newly indicted leadership to ensure the organization survives beyond the 2017 elections.
“GRANDCOALIO will bring all the organizations together and make us to be united and know each other”, Madam Sloh stated.
“I urge all the officials to ensure that more organizations are included and ensure that we survive beyond 2017 because it was through this organization I became familiar with other organizations like Tailor Union, Driver Union, Petty Traders Union, amongst others,” she mentioned.
“We must cultivate the spirit of love and avoid gossips and hold together because this is beyond politics. When someone does something to the Drivers Union, the Liberia Marketing Association must intervene”, she intoned.
Those inducted to steer the affairs of the Coalition includes William Flomo, Chairman; Comfort Doryen, Vice Chair for Administration; Ezekiel Kamara, Vice Chair for Operations, amongst others.
