Grain Coast Entertainment Group whose sole purpose is to ensure better quality in the Liberian entertainment industry, launched the November 2016 Men’s Division Two competition in collaboration with Matrix Media in order to identify potential young talents.
Presenting the check on behalf of the group, Matrix Media Chief Executive Officer Chris Wolo thanked the winner and promised his institution fullest support to the competition.
Wolo said indicated that his vision is to see the return of the old days where sports helped to transform and unify young people.
“This a vision that we don’t regret being a part of because our kids need to be involve into extra curriculum activities that will make them to grow not only physically but intellectually. We know what we experienced and what basketball and football did for us, so we don’t regret being of part of such initiative,” Wolo stated.
For his part, Grain Coast Liberia Executive Director Tom Holder Earlier mentioned that his dream and vision for Liberian artists is to produce more entertainers.
Holder emphasized that Liberia has what he calls talented young people, but what is lacking is entertainment among the artists.
He said Grain Coast Entertainment Liberia is planning a national competition that will bring together talented young people from the political sub divisions of the Country to showcase their talents.
“We say thank you to the Capitol FM for catching sight of the vision that intends to improve the young people of Liberia. Whatever these kids are doing, it is possible for them to be able to survive from it so we ought to encourage them in that direction. We thank Matrix Media Incorporated for being our supporting partner,” he said.
