Speaking Monday during a press conference at the MPC’s headquarters in Monrovia, the party’s political leader Simeon Freeman said what needs to be discussed is the issue of effectively funding the National Elections Commission.
Simeon Freeman believes the NEC is unreasonably underfunded by this government, noting that critics most be fully concerned about the peaceful conduct of the country’s crucial elections.
The Movement for Progressive Change political leader said if the issue of citizenship is to be discussed at this critical period, president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf must provide a list of individuals she appointed that are allegedly American citizens.
Simeon Freeman however called on the media to focus on the core issue of the peaceful conduct of the elections rather than questioning Cllr. Jerome Kokoya’s citizenship.
