Senator Cooper spoke Wednesday during a news conference held in Monrovia.
“We have to give those anti graft institutions LACC and GAC complete autonomy status in other to reduce the high level of corruption in the country if elected President in the October polls,” Senator Cooper stressed.
Senator Cooper believes that if those anti graft institutions are given complete autonomy status without interference by any branch of Government, the issues of corruption will be eradicated.
He further stressed the need for a robust development of the agricultural sector and the empowerment of young people if elected President.
“We will partner with farmers throughout the country to empower ordinary farmers by introducing mechanized farming throughout the fifteen sub-political division of the country,” Senator Cooper assured.
According to Senator Cooper, youth empowerment remains a key factor in addressing the rate of unemployment faced by citizens that will put money in their individual pockets and properly develop their lives.
Senator Cooper said that the Unity Party Government has failed the Liberian people especially with the high inflation of the United State dollars against the Liberian dollars thus making life difficult for the Liberian people.
He further indicated under his Leadership as President, the Liberian dollar will regain its value against the United States Dollars to help to reduce the hardship faced by ordinary Liberians and business people.
