According to the Executive Director Melvin Doweh, the call to the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MPDF) and the Civil Service Agency (CSA) is based upon several petitions by citizens for salary increments which is essential to their effectiveness on the job.
He made the statement yesterday in Monrovia where he called for increment on the salaries of civil servants and the provision of general allowance in the Budget so as to create a minimum wage that will motivate civil servant to be efficient in executing their duties.
“We are advocating for salary increment and provision of general allowance across ministries and agencies. We are also suggesting that a monitoring and evaluation team be set up by both Houses of the Legislature for ministries and agencies in the country”, he added.
Mr. Dowah cautioned heads of ministries and agencies in the country not to stage-manage and initiate a self-manufactured administrative policies that would be inimical to the general policies of the CSA.
