The International Bank Liberia Limited (IB) on Friday July 22, 2017, donated several assorted food items to the group of 77 in Newport Street central Monrovia.
The Group of 77 is a home of several disable people in the Country. Speaking during the donation, the Credit Manager Mr. Cromwell Bedell said that the move was meant to provide assorted items so that the Independence celebration will not be boring. Mr. Bedell maintained that his institution (IB) has been greatly supported by customers, and it is time to give back to the community as a sign of appreciation. “We are happy to share with you during this independence season, and hope this will put smile on your faces”, he said. Receiving the donated items on behalf of the Group of 77, the group’s Warehouse Clerk Mr. James Wheagba thanked the bank for the donation, promising that the donation will be used for its intended purpose. Mr. Wheagba called on other philanthropist organizations and goodwill individuals to emulate the example of the Bank. “We hope that God will always speak to you to help the disable community as your assistance will always be remembered”, he said. Items donated include, 25kg bags of rice, 10 cartoons laundry soap, 12 cartoons of Super Yok’s toilet soap among others.
