Mcleod Darpoh , now a humanitarian, said she is joining the representative race to alleviate the district from abject poverty and put smile on the faces of the impoverished masses.
She spoke of serious desperation in the district with residents still drinking from creeks and using nearby bushes as toilet.
She said, “I feel that the people of this district deserve much more. This is the 21st century and we are talking Montserrado County. If you are familiar with the district as I am, you will know the need for change.”
“To see district 17 in Montserrado County in this 21st Century and the people’s level of survival and where we are really has generated the interest and my concern. To think that people do not have bathrooms, toilets is sad”, she mentioned.
Mcleod Darploh who is running on the ticket of the Liberia Restoration Party said she intends to bring a lot of experience to ensure that District 17 gets the needed change.
