Mr. Paasewe, manager of a local construction company, ‘Favor of Favor Construction Company”, is asking for US$ 1,283 for damages done on his Renault Cleo back windshield.
The Liberian businessman told The Capitol Times that he came to town on Monday to complete his Company’s registration process at the Public Procurement and Concession Commission (PPCC) office on Capitol Hill.
While at PPCC, he said riot broke out when pro-Vandalark Patricks protestors took to the streets on Capitol Hill to demand the release of the detained Political Activist.
The “Favor of Favor Construction Company” boss narrated that he immediately walked out to get his car in a secured place but protesters begun drowning stones all over the place which led to the damaging of the car.
He expressed frustration over the trend the police are taking in dealing with his car issue.
According to Mr. Paasewe, he filed a complaint to the police and he was requested to park his car at the police headquarters. He did. And the next day, the police requested that he present a proforma invoice that shows the cost of his property that was damaged.
But police on Tuesday March 1st instructed Mr. Paasewe to reach to court where they have arrested and taken to court some people connected to the protest.
He alleged that at the court house, the sheriff demanded him along with other people to leave the hallway, something he said got him seriously annoyed.
He accused the police of watching protesters damaging his property and could not prevent them, adding when there are troubles the citizens look to the government for safety.
