In his usual un-statesmanlike outburst, the Congress for Democratic Change lawmaker rained insults on the Montserrado County District No. 7 Development Council yesterday for planning a blackout on all of his activities, following his alleged raining of invectives on Vice President Joseph Boakai and the residents of West Point.
The Sectary General of the District Development Council, Nathan Harris, disclosed during a radio talk show yesterday that the Council will refuse to attend all meetings organized by Representative George, except he apologizes first to Vice President Joseph Boakai for referring to the VP as a criminal who stole his glory, and to the residents of West Point for referring to them as “nanny goats and billy goats”.
Mr. Harris said Rep. George has been in the constant habit of insulting residents of the District, adding, the lawmaker has no right to insult people who elected him into office.
“He has repeatedly done it and it is important to take action now. His actions were not only embarrassing but disgraceful,” Mr. Harris said.
When contacted as to what he made of the Council’s decisions, Rep. George, in a very angry tone, said he owes no one any apology.
“They can kiss my A#$,” he blasted.
Few weeks ago VP Boakai was invited to District 7 within the West Point Community, where he dedicated a newly constructed administrative building in the area.
Following the dedication program, Rep. George went on the airwaves accusing VP Boakai of undermining his effort and stealing his glory.
