The Senior Economist on the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Liberia team, Samuel Tweah has been appointed as Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB), the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) announced late yesterday in a press release.
The MFDP release added that authorities at the Ministry congratulate Tweah for his recent appointment to the AfDP top post. According to the release, the Government of Liberia remains confident that Mr. Tweah will not only add value to the work of the African Development Bank, but will also raise the profile of Liberians and further seek Liberia’s interest while at the Bank. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Tweah who served as Senior Economist on the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Liberia Compact Team was nominated by the Government of Liberia based on his previous work experience and his academic credentials. According to the MFDP release, Mr. Tweah who will be resident in Abidjan, the Ivory Coast is expected to occupy the position of Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors of the African Development Bank for three (3) years.
