Vice President Boakai promised to continue partnership with Alfalit, an organization that has been providing academic training for more citizens especially adults.
Speaking on Monday at his Capitol building office in Monrovia when he received Alfalit President Dr. Joseph Milton in audience, VP Boakai said he was gratified with the work of the organization to ensure Alfalit’s mission in Liberia become a success.
He noted that since the organization was established in Liberia, he has been following the activities of the organization, and urged them to extend their activities in other parts of the country.
For his part the President of the Alfalit International Dr. Joseph Milton lauded Vice President Joseph Boakai for the support rendered the organization over the years.
According to Dr. Milton, since 2006 VP Boakai has been supportive of the work of the organization especially its adult literacy program.
Alfalit International is a faith-based non-denominational organization founded in 1961 to work with Governments around the world in providing literacy, basic education, early childhood development, health, nutrition, savings clubs and community development programs to those who, due to harsh circumstances of their lives, have been deprived of even the most basic form of education.
