Speaking on behalf of the Liberian leader on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at a local hotel in Monrovia, Cllr. Yvette Chesson Wureh head of the Angie Brooks International Center thanked Madame Hadja Halimatou Diallo for stopping over to promote peace through sports.
Cllr. Wureh also encouraged Madame Diallo to send representation from the Action Solidarity Prosperity to the women situation room for experience sharing during the 2017 Representatives and Presidential elections in the protection of peace.
The Angie Brooks International boss also called on Madame Diallo to continue her hard work in the promotion peace and the empowerment of women in the region.
Cllr. Wureh at the same time expressed the need for the existence of unity, corporation among Mano River countries, especially the upholding of the sisterly relationship that is already existing between the Republic of Guinea and Liberia.
She assured Madame Diallo of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf’s continued working relationship with women of the Republic of Guinea in the promotion of women’s and people rights.
The ABIC boss also commended the main opposition party leader of Guinea, Mr. Cellion Dalein Diallo for the political maturity and intelligence he has and continues exercise in the wake of some controversial elections results against him.
Madame Hadja Halimatou Diallo visit to Monrovia is said to be marked by series of planned programs including musical concert, football games, and consultations with other Guineans in Liberia about how they continue to maintain the already existing peace.
Madame Diallo whose visits lasted for five days in Monrovia was honored along with her husband for their immense role played in maintaining regional peace in the midst of controversial elections results.
The honors were presented by the Independent Civil Society Network (ICSNEL) of Liberia, a pro-democracy group in Liberia that is focused on advocating for the improvement of the livelihood of the masses; and at the same time give recognition to institutions and individuals that have immensely contributed to every sector in Liberia and the African continent.
Presenting the honors, the group National Executive Director Jeremiah Paye they have followed the record of the Diallo’s Family and were pleased to recognize Mr. Celliou Dalein Diallo as Peacemaker in West Africa for the Year 2017/2018 and Madame Hadja Halimatou Dalein Diallo as Outstanding Woman for Sanitation & Peace in West Africa for the Year 2017/2018.
For her, Madame Hadja Halimatou Dalein Diallo thanked Cllr. Yvette Chesson Wureh and President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for the level peace and development in the country.
She appreciated the awards given to them by the Independent Civil Society Network of Liberia for recognizing their efforts in the region.
Madame Diallo assured the group of her fullest commitment in upholding proper sanitation in the Republic of Guinea.
