Citizens of Senjeh District in Bomi County have petitioned Bomi County District One Representative, Cllr. Samuel Garyah Karmo, to stand in the race for the representative seat of the area, pledging their unflinching support to him for a second term of office.
The Senjeh district citizens in their petition Saturday January 28, 2017, recounted Cllr. Karmo’s life changing development initiatives in the district which they say have gone a long way in transforming their livelihood. The Citizens described Cllr. Karmo as a defending champion of Senjeh and a visionary with love for his people- whose vision has immensely contributed to the upward mobility of the district and Bomi County at large. “This son of our county has initiated several developmental programs for which the largest population of the district has decided to give Sam Garyah Karmo another chance to foster the development drive of Sehjeh which has been lying in the state of underdevelopment since the existence of the area,” said Joseph Scott, who read the petition on behalf of the citizens. Joseph Scott quotes the citizens of Senjeh district as empowering and cooperating with Cllr. Karmo to complete unfinished development projects and endorsing new ones which commenced in 2012. The citizens of Zepeh clan in the petition outlined a number of achievements including the proffering of three bills, namely the bills establishing the Bomi Community College, Sakie Town Magisterial Court, the Uniformed Appropriation Bill, among others. The citizens also pointed to road connectivity, infrastructural developments and improvement in the education, health and judicial sectors of the country as achievable that prompted the petition. Accepting the petition, Senjeh District Representative Karmo expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Zepeh clan people of Bomi for their request to stand in the race again to succeed himself. Cllr. Karmo told the people of Zepeh clan that nothing will separate him from his people, adding that a good representative is one who touches development. “Bomi County is bleeding so badly in terms of politics, development, and social activities and so please put Bomi first and do away with the hate politics”, he asserted. The Bomi County District #1 Representative pledged his commitment to working assiduously for development purpose until elections day to ensure the people of Senjeh and Bomi at large benefit from needed development initiatives. “I promise I will not let you down,” Cllr. Karmo pledged to his petitioners. The Bomi County Lawmaker added: “ All those who love my man Edwin Snowe, I did not say my enemy, please go and vote for him in District # 6 in Montserrado County”. He indicated that voting for Montserrado County District 6 Representative Edwin Snow in Bomi County will confuse the future leaders of Bomi County; adding, voting for Snowe was sending the wrong message to the children of the county.
