Madam Schaack highlighted education, healthcare, communication, roads network, social welfare, safe drinking water and transport as foremost needs of the people of the district.
It could be recalled that Madam Schaack contested the 2014 midterm Senatorial election and was defeated by Senator Francis Pay Schaack.
Madam Schaack said that even though she lost in the previous election, she has been in working relationship with the voters over the years, and she is very optimistic of winning the representative post comes October 10, 2017.
Madam Schaack urged voters to cast their votes for people who understand their plights and will seek their interest.
“You don’t have to vote for people who don’t know the issues in the community, vote for someone like me who has worked with you and knows your plights. You people want me to go in the 54th Legislature to put your plights and concerns paramount. This is why October 10, 2017 comes, I will retire Honorable Alfred Jueh democratically”, she said.
Madam Rosana Schaack promised that if elected, the Domestic and Gender Base Violent Bills will be introduced and subsequently sponsored for speedily passage if the 53rd Legislature fails to do such.
“The plight of the victims of sexual violence should be a concern of us all. Whereas the victims need to be catered for, civil society, politicians and judges in particular should strive to bring to justice not only those responsible for these criminal and heinous acts, but also those responsible for creating an environment of lawlessness making these atrocities possible,” she said.
Madam Schaack is popularly recognized for her passionate voice for justice for the young women and children in Liberia.
Her total involvement in the fight against gender-based violence has bagged her many awards.
