The Chairman of the Liberia Social Justice Foundation (LSJF) Dr. Edwin Zodua has joined the race for Grand Cape Mount County District #2 representative seat.
Dr. Zodua who is contesting on the ticket of the Movement for Progressive Change (MPC) identified the lack of safe drinking water, poor health facility and bad road network as key challenges confronting the people of his district. In an exclusive interview with this medium, Dr. Zodua said the county remains in total darkness despite the presence of huge foreign investments in the district. Dr. Zodua promised to tackle the deplorable road condition which has cut the district off from other parts of the interior. He further called on companies that are allegedly exploiting the masses in the county to shape up or move out, saying that his interest is to see improvement in the lives of the people of Grand Cape Mount County and Liberia at large. “If I am elected as your lawmaker comes October 10, 2017, I will tackle the bad road conditions and open the interior side so as to make the county accessible. Those companies operating in the county should either shakeup or shakeout”, he said. The Liberian advocate who has been a longtime activist in the county was petitioned by the Cape Mountaineers from all walks of life in order to get a proper representative in the House that will seek their interest first. According to him, he has been in the county throughout with his family, and understands the living conditions of the citizens, which need total deliverance. Dr. Zodua assured the citizens of the county a better atmosphere if elected as Representative of District #2.
