The signing ceremony took place Tuesday in the multipurpose conference room of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Axel M. Addy, said the signing of the MOU will help promote opportunities nationwide and build the capacity of the Liberian people to take advantage of their right to benefit from public procurement given to them by an act of this government.
He noted that the Ministry of Commerce remains committed to transforming the private sector by ensuring a high level of transparency in the business climate.
Also making remarks, the president of LIBA, David K. Sembeh, assured that LIBA is committed to the full implementation of the MOU.
The two entities also signed six regulations affecting various sectors of the economy and to protect consumer rights.
