The 40-year-old, technician on 17 February 2016 secured a two-season deal with the Anchors as its new coach, replacing Abraham Sesay, who was sacked at the close of the 2014-2015 league season.
The NPA Sports Association, Secretary General, Abraham Dukuly said the Ports based out-fit (NPA Anchors) parted company with former coach Sesay due to what he referred to as administrative reasons. Details of Coach Cario’s new contract have not been disclosed, but the new coach task will be to lead the ‘Port Boys’ to glory in the 2015-2016 national league season.
According to Dukuly, the new coach contract will run from the 2015-2015/ 2016- 2017 league season subject to renewal based on his performance. Francis Danue, the team’s interim coach since the departure of Coach Abraham Sesay will serve as deputy to Coach Cooper.
The CAF “A” License coach aim is to make his best out the new job, by working hard to make the club a force to reckon with, not just in Liberia but also on the continent. To achieve this goal, Cooper averred that with the support of the team officials, he intends to do spend big in order to attract fresh talents to the club. The result-oriented coach said he had already commenced work on achieving his goal at NPA by letting go some old legs for fresh ones.
NAP Anchors, one of the few football clubs disqualified to participate in the Liberia Football Association 2015-2016 national league but they have been reinstated.
