The Liberia National Police (LNP) has charged and sent to the Monrovia city court, 37 years old, Pastor James Mulbah with murder for allegedly stabbing to death Patrick Yeah on accusation of dating his wife Hannah Mulbah in Sugar Hill Community Paynesville Redlight.
According to a police charge sheet, defendant James Mulbah is charged with the offense of murder, in contravention of chapter 14; section 14:1 of the revised panel code of the Republic of Liberia pending court trial. The police charge indicated it was observed that the victim Patrick Yeah and Hannah Mulbah were somewhat close and defendant James Mulbah claimed that he had encountered his wife with the victim on one occasion around the market during late evening hours. The Police investigation discovered that the defendant engaged the victim (deceased) Patrick Yeah whom he later stabbed in the chest with a sharp object believed to be a scissors as a result of a tussle that ensued between them. It was also reportedly established, according to the Police charge sheet, that the defendant had a premeditated mind on the evening of the incident to cause serious bodily harm or death to the person of the victim with whom he had accused of having an intimate relationship with his wife. “The defendant obtained a sharp object, instrument, which he used as a weapon to stab victim/deceased on the left side of his chest, when the victim paid a visit at the selling place of his wife that evening”, the police charge mentioned. The police established that after stabbing the victim, the defendant fled with the murder weapon and disposed of same and claimed that when he and the deceased were separated by some persons he could not identified, one of them took the weapon(scissors) from him.
