According to NHA Deputy Managing Director for Administration, Prince Wreh, the housing units are being constructed in VOA outside Monrovia for those families who have volunteered to be relocated from West Point.
Wreh made the disclosure Wednesday evening in an interview with journalists when President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf identified with sea erosion victims in West Point.
He explained that currently those who are homeless will be provided with tents for temporary shelter on the sites, while their housing units are being built, noting that the housing units will be ready in the shortest possible time.
He indicated that the NHA and the Monrovia City Corporation (MCC) have held discussions with those families who are prepared to be relocated since 2014 when the sea destroyed their homes.
Wreh stressed that the place around the VOA area is a suitable location where people can live without being threatened by sea erosion.
